Who should attend?

The module will explore Word features that help when working with long documents or documents containing repetitive text.

Pre-requisites

A knowledge of text and paragraph formatting and document fundamentals is essential.

Objectives

You will learn how to: Find and replace text and formats in a document. Work with fields and symbols. Use footnotes/endnotes to reference text entries. Move through long documents easily.

Course Content

Find and replace

Find and replace text and formatting within a document.

Change Case

Change text from lower case to uppercase or initial capitals.

AutoText

Create autotext entries for repetitive text i.e. sign offs, opening/closing paragraphs, standard paragraphs.

Auto Correct

Add entries to the AutoCorrect library to correct common typing errors and expand abbreviations.

Footnotes and Endnotes

Insert footnotes/endnotes to add a reference to a text entry in a document.

Document Map

Use the document map to work with long documents containing headings.

Using fields

Use fields to insert references i.e. document name and path.

Insert Symbols

Insert symbols for characters such as foreign character sets, copyright and registration symbols.
