Who should attend?
Anyone who is responsible for designing complex forms, i.e. pop-up forms or forms containing subforms.
Pre-requisites
Attendees should have experience of creating forms using the Forms Wizard and of creating basic queries. Familiarity with the topics covered in modules:
- ACC-03-01 - Introduction
- ACC-03-02 - Using Forms and Data Input
- ACC-03-03 - Form Design Basic
- ACC-03-04 - Queries Basic
- ACC-03-05 - Reports Basic
Objectives
To design modal/pop-up forms, forms containing subforms and forms with action buttons.
Course Content
Properties
                An in-depth look at the properties of forms including popup, modal, record selectors, scroll bars and dividing lines.
            
        Form Types
                Create subforms (a form within a form). Forms that run queries/reports.
            
        Controls
                An overview of advanced controls and form customisation.
            
        Calculations
                Display the results of calculations (formulae) on a form.
            
        Dialog Boxes
                Use a form to control your database application. Create a switchboard using the Switchboard manager.
