A good understanding of email, contacts and public folders in Outlook.

Objectives

To understand how to customise and publish Outlook forms in order to enhance/share the functionality within the department/organisation.

Course Content

Customised Form

Create a customised Outlook form. Edit the Compose and Read aspects of the form. Add a label and a text box to the form.

Create a new field and set the text box properties. Save the form as a template. Publish the form in the personal forms library.

Toolbox objects

Drop down list object. Frame object containing radio (option) buttons. Check box object. Command button, run code from a command button. Insert a picture on the form.

Form Objects

Size, align and space objects. Object order (layering). Group and ungroup objects. Object properties - style, colour, control tip text, validation. Enable/disable objects.

Form Pages & Actions

Create a new page within the form. Hide a page. Set the reply prefix text. Create a new form action to launch another custom form.

Form Properties

Set a contact for the form. Form caption, version number and description.

Public folder forms

Publish the form in a public folder. Associate the form with the public folder. Create folder views. Set the folder permissions.
