Pre-requisites

Attendees should have experience working with large lists of data and knowledge of formulae writing. Familiarity with topics covered in modules:

You will learn how to: Perform data analysis on record entries within a data table. Set up different scenarios to compare results.

Course Content

Conditional Formatting

Understand the use of conditional formatting to highlight formula results or other cell values that you wish to monitor.

Use Pivot tables

Summarise and report on lists of data using the PivotTable Report feature. View PivotTable Report Data. Change the PivotTable Sum function.

Slicers & Sparklines

Use data slicers and sparklines to reveal trends and isolate specific data.

Scenario manager

Create scenarios to present totals based upon increasing/decreasing values.

View manager

Create views to: printout a worksheet with formula text and results; printout using different page orientations and headers and footers.

Goal seek

Find a specific result for a cell by adjusting the value of one other cell.

Solver

Determine the value of a cell when you need to change the values in more than one cell and have multiple constraints for those values.
