No previous experience of spreadsheet programs is required.

You will learn how to: Navigate a worksheet. Amend text and numbers. Change number formats. Insert columns and rows. Produce attractive print outs.

Course Content

Navigate the worksheet

Understand the worksheet navigation keys. Use GoTo to move quickly to a specific cell.

Work with text and numbers

Alter existing text and numbers. Change the formatting of text and numbers. Clear cell formatting. Write a simple formula to total rows or columns of figures. Insert comments in the spreadsheet.

Borders & shading

Use borders and shading to enhance the appearance of the worksheet. Format rows and columns Change the height of rows and the width of columns. Insert and delete cells, rows and columns. Copy cell entries Copy & replicate the content of a cell(s).

Freeze panes

Use the freeze panes feature to fix column headings and row labels in large worksheets.

Page format

Insert headers and footers. Understand the header and footer icons and associated codes. Define print titles to produce the same row/column headings at the top/left of each page.

Print a worksheet

Print a selection of cells, sheets or entire workbook
