Who should attend?

The module will suit all users with little or no experience who wish to learn how to make amendments to an existing presentation. The course is designed to familiarise users with the essential tools for making changes to text and graphics.

Pre-requisites

No previous experience of a presentation graphics program is required.

You will learn how to: Open and view a presentation. Modify an existing presentation. Work with text and graphics. Apply slide transitions and special effects. Deliver a presentation from the computer as a slide show.

Course Content

Presentation Essentials

Open and view a presentation. Move between slides. Change the slide order. Undo and redo features.

Views

Slide, outline, slide sorter and notes view.

Slide Layouts

Create a presentation based on a Rio Tinto template. Create a new slide containing bulleted text. Edit the text within a bulleted list. Understand the slide layouts available in the Rio Tinto template.

Manipulate Slides

Copy, move and delete slides. Copy slides between presentations. Understand the Rio Tinto colour schemes.

Charting

Create a chart based on the Rio Tinto custom layout. Edit the chart data. Understand the chart elements.

Images

Insert photographic images from the Rio Tinto Brandbank. Resize and crop an image. Insert a map from the Rio Tinto library.

Presentation tools

Generate speaker notes and audience handouts. Apply slide transitions and special effects.
